Zazou is a VERY friendly little girl who LOVES to sit on your lap. She's a little possessive of whoevers lap she is sitting on, and has been known to "gently" bop another kitty on the head if they butt into the lap she is on!
She is somewhat playful - she likes to play with the other kitty’s tails... Overall, she gets along well with other cats and is a pretty "laid-back" kitty. She's been spayed, tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV (negative for both), current on vaccinations, and will be micro chipped prior to being adopted.

The reason she is on the "Special Needs" page is because she has some respiratory problems (and sometimes eye issues) that most likely are caused by the herpes virus. She gets very sneezy,and has raspy breathing. Antibiotics don't really seem to help much and Clavamox (antibiotic) makes her sick, so mainly she just needs "time" to recover (and a little "TLC"). Prescription eye drops do help with her eye problems though.
Also, she had a UTI (urinary tract infection) about 7 months ago, and was put on a prescription diet of special food for this condition (CD) for six months, and it went away. She seems fine right now, but there is always a chance it can reoccur, so feeding her canned food (and making sure she drinks alot of water) is the best preventative.

And lastly, she has some skin issues and needs topical flea treatment (Frontline/Advantage/or Revolution) monthly, and even with doing that, her fur will sometimes fall out a little on her back. She also over-grooms but we're not sure why.

So, if you think you're up to the challenge (it's not really as bad as it may sound!), Zazou is WELL worth it and will give you a TON of love in return for your caring for her.
